An innovative project that interprets a journey among the genuine tastes and flavors that come from nature. From the artisanal furnishings in wood that impose strong architectural style, to the ingredients selected from the highest international standards, DOP, IGP and Slow Food, the goal, and their guarantee, is to create easily digestible, healthy and delicious food choices.
“Capperi…che pizza! Pizza Gourmet” began after diligent research by the Acciaio Family in the 1960s, beginning in the region of Vesuvius with their boutique food outlet Lucullus. By selecting the highest quality of Italian cheeses, artisanal salamis, local tomato varieties and tuna and anchovy conserves, the aromas of this rich territory can be tasted in each bite. Throughout the years, the selections have been enriched and expanded to include the new era of gourmet pizza. They offer the highest level of product, bursting with freshness and aroma which translates into positive health benefits and heightened digestibilityfor the consumer. Each recipe includes detailed information about each ingredient including its origins and methods of preparation,and the end result is equilibrated and delicious in every aspect. Products are selected with great care by Giuseppe Acciaio, culinary expert, and known for his large contributions in the promotion of the territory, its antique food traditions and its genuine products. The use of type 1 and 2 flours and the selection of Piennolo DOP cherry tomatoes, preserved in water and salt, torzelle seeds, capers from Salina, tuna and anchovies from Cetara, broccoli rabe from Vesuvius and figs from the Cilento area are all examples of this careful selection. All products are sourced directly from the producers by the Acciaio family, under the brand name L’Orta di Lucullo and I Sapori di Corbara. They cultivate this high quality by working directly with local farmers who are encouraged to grow and harvest their products with extreme respect for nature.
Attention to detail, both to the environment and the client are paramount. This is evident in the selection of the furnishings for the head office of “Capperi…che Pizza! Pizza Gourmet”. The setting evokes great respect for nature and all that it represents. That is translated directly in the artisanal handmade wooden tables in olive that accompany the DOP olive olives from the hills of Salerno. The illumination warms the surroundings and lush plants and along with the vivid colors of hand painted tales, the beauty of nature is exalted. From the warm yellow tones of the sun to the deep blues of the sea, the furnishings represent the beauty of the territory. With both wood burning ovens, and electrical ones, both patented, perfect even cooking temperatures are maintained. In addition, there is an area dedicated to European craft beers and various wood varieties used for artisanal handmade shelving which display all of their exceptional products.
